Maker Basic (MKB) is a cryptocurrency that is designed to function as a primary utility and governance token for the Maker decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) ecosystem.

The point

The main point of MKB is to provide Maker DAO system users with the ability to vote on significant transactions and to generally govern the system. MKB holders are responsible for creating proposals, voting on proposals, and executing those that are passed.

The problem

The problem that MKB tries to solve is the need for a secure and decentralized system that allows the creation and management of stablecoins. The Maker DAO system accomplishes this by providing users with the ability to hold MKB, which in turn gives them a significant voice in how the system operates without the need for a central authority.
