How do we calculate the maximum potential profit?
The maximum potential price is calculated based on Bitcoin price and Bitcoin supply, and comparing that to the same numbers of the chosen altcoin.
The maximum potential calculator uses the following formula:
Max possible price for altcoin: BTC price / (Current supply of altcoin/ Current supply of BTC).
Please note than in case of altcoins for which we don't have the current supply information, we use the total supply data instead. And this is not ideal. For that reason we also mention that whenever this data is missing.
If you can't find a coin you're looking for, this would be because we don't have either - not current supply, not maximum supply data.
Is it likely that the altcoins actually reach this maximum potential price?
No. In case of 99.9%+ of the coins the likelihood of that happening would be slim to none. But at the same time, we are talking about cryptos, and nothing is impossible.
How to use this maximum potential price calculator?
