IOTA, the crypto
IOTA (MIOTA) is a cryptocurrency that was founded in 2015 by David Sønstebø, Sergey Ivancheglo, Dominik Schiener, and Dr. Serguei Popov. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, IOTA doesn’t rely on blockchain technology for its transactions. Instead, it uses a new technology called the Tangle, which is a directed acyclic graph (DAG) that allows for fast, fee-free transactions.
The point
The main point of IOTA (MIOTA) is to enable fee-free transactions for the internet of things (IoT). With the growing number of connected devices in the world, IOTA aims to provide a secure and scalable way of sending and receiving data and payments without the need for intermediaries.
The problem
IOTA (MIOTA) tries to solve the problem of high fees and scalability issues that are common in other blockchain-based cryptocurrencies. Additionally, it aims to provide a secure and decentralized way for devices to communicate and transact with each other in the internet of things (IoT) ecosystem.
